The hotel is set in nice grounds, but in much need of updating. The rooms were small, not particularly clean, and very hot due to heating pipes under the floor, forcing us to open the windows and endure noise from the busy main road all night. The hotel staff were really pleasant despite other customers' negative comments. The dining was very nice, although with a limited choice. Located close to Renishaw golf club, it's ideal for a pre-golf lunch.
